Amelia's Story, and Introducing Agnes

Amelia's story is pretty simple. Perhaps too simple. I'm rewriting, after some consideration.

Also, I've posted a new character to New Stuff. Check out Agnes Grimm.

New Character

I've posted a shot of a new character, Amelia, to the New Stuff section. I, for one, think she's adorable.

August Already?

I haven't updated because I've been busy for the better part of a month with (working title) Brian's Bathtub Seas. I'm pretty happy with this one. Unlike Lyle, with this I'm relying on simplicity of story and concentrating on the artwork's ability to tell the story rather than any clever wordplay. It's been taking most of my time until now.

Long time, huh?

Sorry about that, dear readers. Been a lot of work to take care of lately.

Still, the Little Troll is in its last stages of writing, and my last writer's circle (triangle) meeting, I brought a new short story -- it was suggested I use this as the intro to a YA novel, which I'm considering.

Still have to finish the illustrations on Lyle and get him sent out. That's my next creative priority.

Here's to keeping the blog updated and the work flowing.

Hellooo March.

Well, February was a busy month. I'm doing some freelance right now, so work on the books will have to wait another week or so. in better news, I've worked out what i think is a wonderful solution to my problem with Lyle's Shadow. It will take some work, but the actual rewriting will now be minimal.

I've also dug up an old story I'd forgotten about, which I think is one of the better pieces I've written. I don't think I can illustrate this one, though; if it's illustrated, this is going to need someone with better skillz. If it's not illustrated, it's going to be too short for its own book.

Back to the Drawing Board.

When that expression is literally the case, does it gain something or lose something? I can't decide.

Anyway, I've gotten some great feedback on Lyle and decided to change the ending a bit, so it's going to be a little bit before I take him anywhere as far as a publisher goes. Bit of a bummer, that, but the final product is going to be well worth it.

Webcomic Dreams

Really getting into the little troll lately. Would consider doing a webcomic, if I had time. Maybe Someday.
